This is my favorite plaid top ever! It is so soft and has the cutest ruffle on the back. I loved these fall colors (plus Bears colors!). It also comes in a red plaid and an ivory. Size down it runs really big.

We had a fun Halloween weekend although it was cold and rainy! Isla was a Flamingo and we went to a Halloween breakfast at the Morton Arboretum. She hated the men dressed up as characters (the Ninja Turtle was especially traumatizing). We got to head downtown that evening for a friend’s party which was fun too!

I realized we both had window pane pieces and burgundy hats so we went for it! It’s fun matching your little. Although she always, always looks cuter!

I posted this pic on instagram but I know I have a few readers that don’t use IG so I’ll share again. 99% of the time when I burn a candle I don’t burn it at all. I use a candle warmer. It plugs into the wall, you place your candle on it and it warms the wax until it melts. It fills your home so much more with the scent than traditional burning! It also makes your candles last much much longer. Like almost indefinitely. I “warmed” this exact candle all last season and it is practically still brand new. It is also much safer than having an open flame around a crazy toddler! The candle warmer can also double as a coffee warmer to keep your coffee, hot chocolate, or tea nice and hot! Which is perfect for the colder temps that will soon be upon us! This is my exact warmer. Let me know if you get one and how you like it!

Plaid shirt dress

Pretty sure I’ll be in this dress all the time until the temps really start to drop. I love that it has a fall vibe with the wine color & plaid (I told you I was obsessed!) but is still comfortable for those in between days because of the short sleeves. It’s also great because it’s a bit longer in the front and definitely longer in the back. This is great when you’re chasing a toddler around for more coverage! This bag has pretty much become my new diaper bag. I just love it so much! I was sick of toting around a big heavy diaper bag and never using half the junk in it. I’m trying a simpler approach and so far really like it. I just keep the essentials in it, a few diapers, travel pack of wipes, snacks, a pacifier, a small toy, a bow/clip for Isla’s hair and that’s pretty much it! I love this bag because of the price point, color, and size. It is the perfect size tote! Not too big or small.

First off please excuse the milk stains on my jeans, #momlife. Yesterday really felt like fall. I know school is back in session but I just can’t believe the summer is actually over. I swear it goes faster and faster every year. Although I’m sad the fun of summer is practically over, I am excited for fall and all it entails! I just wish the season as a whole lasted longer than 3 weeks, ha. Fall fashion is my favorite and I got out some old favorites to pull this fall look together. Many items aren’t available anymore but I linked some really similar pieces, some that are even cuter than what I’m wearing! I’m so excited to get to wear my nsale items soon!

I caved & bought this sweater. It was only $25 and goes with everything! I’m really into textured sweaters this season, they just seem to add the right amount of visual interest to an outfit. And as you can see I’m still digging my flannel shirts. I have a ton of them and just love how comfy & casual they are. They look really cute with jean shorts too for a more country chic vibe.

In other news I’m so excited for House of Cards to come out on Friday!! I seriously love that show. We are currently also watching Breaking Bad (on season 2) I know we are so far behind the times! Another one we love is Shameless on Showtime. It’s pretty rough around the edges, but Emmy Rossum is so good in it.

Also any Bachelor viewers out there reading this? I can’t get over how DUMB this season is & yet I still can’t seem to stop watching… pathetic I know. Is it just me or does it seem like they have gone absolutely no where exciting? Usually the whole group goes to Europe or some foreign country. The dates have all been super odd too, only one or two typical bachelor dates, the rest a little weird. Like a bed in the middle of the badlands? Bizarre. Hopefully they go somewhere tropical and stay in little huts above the water, because come on how could you not fall in love in a place like that? LOL But really I’m anxious to see how the season turns out because I read some spoilers before the season began. Also saw on a tabloid at the grocery store “Bachelor Chris engaged, but in love with another woman!” oh the scandal! We will see!

Oh also did anyone see 50 shades? What did you think? I heard it was pretty bad, would love to know your opinion!

Anyone who knows me in real life knows that blush pink is my absolute favorite color. When I found this coat on clearance from Nordstrom a few weeks ago I knew it must be mine. I’m really into the wrap coat trend right now, plus it’s super soft, has a hood and it’s blush! A total winner. This plaid top is soft, comfy, and cheap! It can be dressed up or down and the coat makes it feel a bit dressier. I’ve had this bag for a couple years, it’s from Aldo and I tried to find a similar one to link for you guys although it’s cray expensive, a girl can dream! I didn’t realize I was holding it backwards in the first few pics, whoops! These jeans are now on sale for $20!! They became my new favorites the minute I bought them. I don’t like the dye color on the ankle so I roll them up. But $20 is a steal!!

It feels like fall…

I am obsessed with this scarf!!! I’m sad I didn’t get any photos of the back because it is herringbone on the other side! Gah it’s just so cute. I wrapped it like a cowl neck but it can be worn so many other ways. This is my favorite faux leather jacket of all time. It feels like real leather and the structured shoulders are so chic. I just got these jeans the other day, they are under $25! I have one or two pairs of designer denim but honestly don’t wear them all that much. My go to for jeans is always H&M. They’re inexpensive and fit me well, I think the quality is amazing for the price too. The ray bans were a Christmas gift from my mom. I had a cheapie pair of aviators that were honestly super uncomfortable so I’m excited to finally have a nice pair! I live for easy tees like this one as well. So comfortable and can worn with anything!

Happy NYE!!! We are traveling to Hawaii today! I am soo excited because I have never been and we are due for a vacation. I will be there for the next 2 weeks so posting will be light.
