candle warmer | candle (last year bath & body works) | mini pumpkin candles | owls | hello fall sign (Target dollar spot find) | Lantern (homegoods)

I posted this pic on instagram but I know I have a few readers that don’t use IG so I’ll share again. 99% of the time when I burn a candle I don’t burn it at all. I use a candle warmer. It plugs into the wall, you place your candle on it and it warms the wax until it melts. It fills your home so much more with the scent than traditional burning! It also makes your candles last much much longer. Like almost indefinitely. I “warmed” this exact candle all last season and it is practically still brand new. It is also much safer than having an open flame around a crazy toddler! The candle warmer can also double as a coffee warmer to keep your coffee, hot chocolate, or tea nice and hot! Which is perfect for the colder temps that will soon be upon us! This is my exact warmer. Let me know if you get one and how you like it!

Last weekend we went apple picking! Someone was much more interested in the tasting part…

Hope everyone is having a great week! Sorry about the lack of posts. It has been kind of slow getting into the groove this week! Working on a few little decor updates in our family room too.

Oh P.S. has anyone tried the new Toasted Graham Latte (TGL) from Starbucks? It’s soo good. I’ve never been super obsessed with the PSL like everyone else and this is right up my alley!

Thanks for stopping by!

OB-fall shoes

 { 1  }{  2  }{  3  }{  4  }{  5  }{  6  }{  7  }{  8  }

Here is a little fall shoe guide to kick off your Tuesday! I have numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8 and love them all. They’re all super budget friendly with the most expensive at $55 and the cheapest at $25. I love a good mix of heels and flats for everyday and special occasions. All of them except number 4 come in one or more other colors as well! If you have questions about fit or comfort just ask in the comments and I would be happy to help!

Have a great day!

dress | jean jacket (old, similar) | bag | mules | aviators | aria pendant | renegade cluster | chevron pave cuff | peach amelie bracelet | peach nancy studs

This dress is oh so comfy! But looks put together, score! This is probably my favorite Stella & Dot necklace. It’s so dainty but pretty & goes with so so much. It dresses up a plain t shirt and jeans so well but also looks great with a dress like this. It can also be worn 3 ways which is awesome! I love the versatility. A jean jacket is a spring staple, I have this one which is a lighter wash and a darker wash as well. Both from Old Navy years and years ago but have lasted so long and never gone out of style. The one I linked is VERY similar.

Happy Friday! I hope everyone enjoys a blessed Easter with their family! 🙂

I adore this pink & white look for Valentine’s day! This is definitely a more girly girl option for a V-day date but that’s why I love it so much. The blush tones and white just make me think spring time! But the snow says otherwise 😦

I put this look together from pieces I’ve had forever, besides the coat that is semi new. But they are all easy finds and can be worn so many other ways. Especially into the next season. The simple crystal necklace puts the emphasis on the pretty lace detail in the skirt. Which I love year round. I’ve been wearing my hair straight recently, sometimes it’s nice just to change it up a little!

I hope you guys like this look as much as I do! Another Valentine’s inspired date night look will be up Monday! Stay tuned!

Does it get any more festive than gold sequin leggings? These have been ALL over pinterest recently and are perfect for the holidays. I think I’m going to wear mine on Christmas eve but they definitely work as a warm alternative to a dress for NYE as well. These heels are on sale for $30! Thirty dollars for suede pumps! Unheard of. I really like the quality of Aldo shoes and have a lot of them. This top is actually a nursing top, but you definitely do not need to be nursing to wear it. I plan on keeping it in rotation even after I’m done breastfeeding. It’s flattering and can be wrapped as tightly or loosely as you want. I thought the pop of pink in the clutch was a fun twist on bringing a bright color into the winter months.

I’m so sad there is still no snow on the ground! Wahhh the bare trees need some lovin! It also just doesn’t feel like Christmas to me without being snuggled up in jammies looking at the snow outside on Christmas morning. Hopefully things will turn around by next week!

My new favorite saying is Fri-yay. So fun because it’s so true everyone is excited about Fridays! So Happy Friyay! What are you guys doing this weekend? Tonight we are going to the Morton Arboretum Illumination which is where they do a crazy light display on hundreds of trees you walk around and see. It’s really cool. Last year I froze my butt off. Because I was pregnant literally all my body heat went to my belly, so my fingers and toes were NUMB. I’m excited to see Isla’s reaction to it! I will be wearing her for extra warmth. Sunday she meets Santa for the first time! I hope she doesn’t cry. She’s at the age where she is starting to be a little weary of strangers. Especially men. Especially men with beards. This should be interesting…

Have a wonderful weekend! Thank you for reading!

Black booties | gray skirt | burgundy floppy hat | gray sweatshirt top | flat otk boots | burgundy coat | LM foundation | beanie | pumps

Looks like I’ve got a thing for black, burgundy, and gray right now! I have been eyeing that coat for a long time and it’s now on sale for 50% off! Maybe if anyone is looking to get me a Christmas gift? Hint hint Kevin :). At $785 the Stuart Weitzman over the knee boots are a complete pipe dream, lol. I have also been wanting to try that Laura Mercier foundation. Has anyone tried it? Do you like it? Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend!

For the love of leopard

I love leopard. I have ever since I was like 9. I had this leopard fur winter coat I was obsessed with. My mom thought it was tacky but let me buy it anyway because it made me happy. What a nice mama. Well now leopard is back on trend and bigger than ever! I am very picky with my leopard print, it has to be a certain color combo to work for me. Besides the classic brown, tan and black print I also like it in gray. Neon leopard print however is not for me. Here are some of my absolute favorite leopard pieces. Some more understated than others. But all are considered a neutral in my book.

leopard

pumps | sweater | scarf | oxford flats | beanie | clutch | belt

I chose mostly accessories because that’s my favorite way to style leopard. I do have a leopard cardigan and a couple leopard tops but find when I wear them I prefer the rest of my outfit to be completely neutral. Basically lots of black. But when wearing a little pop of leopard here and there it’s fun to mix and match patterns. One of my favorite combos with leopard is stripes! It also looks great with plaid and lace!

What is your favorite way to wear leopard? Or are you over the trend? Have a happy hump day!

What to wear- Thanksgiving style

If you’re anything like me you like to plan special occasion outfits ahead of time. Especially now that I’m a mom I don’t have time right before an event or a night out to be trying on every outfit in my closet. I need to have a plan and be organized! Holidays are no different. Whether you are hosting or cooking or setting the table there is enough to worry about on Thanksgiving other than what you are going to wear. I have put together a few looks if you are searching for something to wear this year!

These leopard heels are my new obsession!

For those of you into fur vests I threw this one on to add a little something extra to the outfit. It almost looks purple in the photo, it’s definitely brown in real life.

Wow, my mirror is so dusty! My apologies I’m gonna go clean that right now, haha. So obviously depending on how dressy or casual your family is on Thanksgiving will determine which look works for you. I will probably end up going for a version of the second to last photo. Leggings (stretchy to accommodate the feast!), a sweater, and over sized scarf. Comfy, cute, and casual. I was too lazy when taking these photos to add any other accessories, but you can definitely play each look up with a fun statement necklace, belt, or scarf. I hope this helped you get a jump start on what you will wear on Thanksgiving. If you already know leave me a comment, I’d love to hear what you have in mind! I’m already planning what Isla will wear, I swear she has cuter clothes than me!! Thanks for reading!

P.S. Here are my leopard pumps. I am OBSESSED with them. Whoever said leopard is a neutral is a genius.
